I quit my day job in 2015. I had had it with helping someone else actualize their dreams while ignoring my own. I was a musician working as an executive admin- how did this happen?! This wasn’t the path I’d imagined for myself. Why was I doing it?

As Oprah says- This is your moment. Time to own it!

Flash forward almost 10 years and you’d think I’d have more to say about my business successes and the buckets of money I now make.

That would be a lie.

Here’s what actually happened.

I quit my job without a plan

I quit my day job at 33 because it was sucking my soul. I was really good at it but it wasn’t the career I wanted. I was burned out and hated what my life had turned into.

Music had always been my love but creating music consistently was never my main focus. It was always sporadic “following the muse” sort of stuff which is more of a hobby mentality than a business one.

At least I can recognize that now.
