Every season, there are a few must-have fashion pieces that you need to help you make your life better. Have you wondered what you are missing from your wardrobe but don’t know what to buy or need help figuring out some fashion essentials? Every season comes with the essentials, and I will help you out by showing you seven pieces that you might want to invest in this season.

With winter being around the corner, the clothes you need will also need to make you warm and comfortable. According to StyleCaster, the number one for dressing in the winter, it states that “There is a reason layering is always on-trend in the winter: It’s a massively practical way to dress when it’s really cold. Don’t be afraid to pile on the layers, and don’t worry about them ruining your look.” The best thing for winter outfits is practicality and comfortability vs. trendy, which means getting clothes that are practical and get you comfortable and warm but are still trendy.

7 Winter Clothing Essentials

  1. Knitwear

~ Knitwear is essential in the winter because it will get you warm and if you find the perfect one, it will also be trendy. Knitwear can be something for a turtleneck, sweater, or dress. According to Vogue Shopping, it states that “Few things are better than a luxurious cashmere crewneck or chunky turtleneck when it comes to knitwear….Classic sweaters like these are truly year-round staples.” If you don’t have the money for a cashmere sweater, cotton or wool will work just as fine.

2) Leather Jacket

~ A leather jacket is an essential fashion statement piece that is perfect for any time, especially winter. Leather jackets are an item that you will want to splurge on unless you get a faux leather jacket. A leather jacket can be pricey sometimes, but it is a piece that you will need to invest in, and you won’t regret it. According to Vogue Shopping, it states that “A high-quality leather jacket can last decades, improves with age, and makes any outfit look effortlessly cool.”

3)Tailored Coat

~A tailored coat is a must-have for the wintertime because it will keep you warm, and is a fashionable and versatile piece. According to Who What Wear, “Whether you’re wearing a T-shirt or a suit underneath, that last-minute addition of a crisp, strong-shouldered coat will add just the right amount of polish every time.” A coat is one of the things that go with anything and everything you wear if you choose a neutral color. It can be either an oversized one or one that fits nicely and snugly.

4)Black Trousers

~Black trousers aren’t only for business meetings or when going to nice out on time. Black trousers can elevate an outfit no matter what it is. Trousers can be a splurge or save item depending on how much you want to spend and what length they are. According to Who What Wear, “Choose a silhouette that makes you feel the best about your body, and the plethora of winter work outfits will flow from there.”

5)Scarf

~ Having a scarf is another essential because it can be worn in multiple ways, and it can keep your neck warm, which is very important. Silk scarfs add flavor and life to your wardrobe, but you can get a nice simple cotton or wool one, too. A scarf can be worn in your hair, around the neck, as a belt, or in many other ways.

6)Blazer and/or Suit

~ A blazer is another essential because it is the perfect piece for layering. If you get a suit, then it adds some variety to your wardrobe, and it is the perfect outfit for wintertime. According to Who What Wear, “During the winter, there is a lot of layering involved, which can make your normal clothes run a tad snug. To ensure you still have that cool-girl feel while wearing a suit to the office, opt for one that fits on the looser side.”

7)Knee-High boots

~ Knee-high boots are something that everyone needs because they will get your whole leg and foot warm since you will have on long pants. According to Who What Wear, “For those days when you simply can’t put on another pair of pants, a skirt or dress is your only option. To ensure your legs aren’t freezing, we suggest slipping into knee-high boots. If you don’t already own a pair of boots, then you are missing out.
