Are there some days when you are feeling a little low on your self-confidence? There are a lot of ways out there that can help you boost your confidence. From things that take a few minutes or throughout the day to things that you have to do time and time again!

There is a difference between self-esteem and self-confidence. You may have low self-esteem but high self-confidence or the other way around. The thing you have to realize is that Self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-efficacy are a three-in-one deal.

One of the biggest factors that affect your self-confidence is your self-image. According to Daily Medicos, it states that “Always remember “ people will think of you as you think of yourself…. What you feel about yourself, it matters. It doesn’t matter what people think.”

Three techniques to boost your self-confidence

  1. Exercising

~There are lots of practical things that you can do to boost your self-confidence like getting things done and monitoring your progress. But if you are looking for something you can physically do, exercising regularly is one of them.

According to Forbes, it says that “Exercising helps memory retention, improves focus, helps manage stress, and prevents depression. It’s harder to be anxious when there is no excess energy to draw upon, and outside of being difficult uncomfortable at times.” Even if you have to create time yourself, do it. It is crucial to stay active!

2) Writing down and/or saying affirmations in the morning

Self-confidence begins first thing in the morning and until the end of the day. If the first thing you do in the morning is write down a couple of affirmations. Just imagine how much better you will feel! It can a simple affirmation like I can do this or a lengthy one, it doesn’t matter.

According to Healthline, it states that “Repeating an affirmation can help boost your motivation and confidence, but you still have to take some action yourself.”

Health line as says that the only catch with affirmations is that it doesn’t work for everyone! If you are willing to try it out, all you have to do is write down a couple of them that you can easily remember. Just make sure to keep it real and set them in the present time.

3) Follow Through

According to Forbes, it states that “People respect people when they say they’re going to do something and they do it. More importantly, you will respect yourself if you say you’re going to do something and you do it, and belief in yourself will come easier because you know you are not afraid of the work.”

Three key things to following through you also want to remember is:

-How much do you already have to do that day or time before overselling yourself,

-Make sure to carve out time for yourself and your needs

-Don’t cancel last minute, if something comes up that is urgent let them know ahead of time

These are just a few techniques and things you can do to help boost your self-confidence. There are lots of other ways, just remember that it starts from within, if you are saying kind and positive things to yourself then you will be more self-confident.
