What do we wonder about?
Do blankets evolve?
I wonder about nature constantly, especially when wandering in nature. I love the summer blanket of flora, the autumn blanket of fallen leaves and twigs, whose existence on the ground indicates their Mother Tree is evolving. I love the feeling of being blanketed by the sun while lying on the sand, serenaded by the constancy of tides. I especially love the blanketing that fresh snow provides. It has its own Tao, sparkling its crystalline essence in answer to the Sun. Nature’s blankets are the best!
Lately, as the Eclipse window works its dredging magic, I wonder about the wild montage of thought that seems to envelop me like the Schultz character, Pigpen. It has been some years since my mind played these tapes, so it is both uncomfortable and surprising in a humorous way.
As meditation dissolves Pigmen into other characters, memories from decades past haunt my early mornings. How odd. This intense inner purging makes me wonder. What will the closing Eclipse and Equinox bring? Are there more joyful light streams to wonder about? Is that not a choice? It certainly is mine.
