Why do clouds move as they do?

“What makes clouds? What makes them move as they do?”

“In this world, I mean. How does it work?”

“Clouds are wind and water dancing.”

“Does the Sun make them smaller or bigger, or does it make them go away?” She had observed the interaction of the sun and clouds within the Earth’s atmosphere and wondered at the games they played.

“Have you ever tried vaporizing a cloud, little one?”
“What’s vaporizing?”

“Let’s start again. Wind and water are flows of energy, right?”
The little tow-headed angel had to agree, though she knew not why.
She was used to sitting on clouds or curling up in their fluffy embrace to rest between assignments and growth spurts. This Earth-centric view of things was entirely unfamiliar.

“From the Sun’s point of view, {that’s called heliocentric, here, dear} clouds are currents to carry the music of the spheres. Their travels and formations remind and show what is already known.”

“What is a sphere?”

“You ask a lot of questions,” the Great Mother smiled.
