Transformative Workplace Tips to Infuse Spirituality

There is no better way to bring people together in the office than by sharing and being open to the diversity of spiritual faith and guidance; this brings people together on a whole other level and develops a more profound understanding among coworkers.

Transform the space

Encourage everyone to make a sacred space in their office, cubicle, or even in the corner of their desk with a few things that connect them with their divine guidance. Encourage everyone to be open about their creations and faith with coworkers.

Share Experiences

Each time a new space is completed in the office, encourage the creator to briefly introduce their faith and sacred space. How does Divinity touch their heart, and what message would they like to share?

Create a Meditation Space

Make a shared space for everyone to rest and meditate; this can be as simple as a private enclave or small room with a comfy chair, a lovely plant or two, a real one with soil, a Bluetooth speaker, and a friendly nature poster or window if possible.

Encourage Spirituality

Now, the critical part is to allow everyone in the office a fifteen-minute slot to use a dedicated space or even a sitting away from the desk in an empty office or outside. Book everyone in the office a slot daily to use the space. They don’t have to, but they will get an invitation and notification that it’s their slot; once people start to do it, more and more will.

Invite an expert

Finally, to kick off the movement, find a local non-denominational meditation guide to give a one-time, monthly, or weekly guided meditation session in the office for all who want to attend on the how and why of Spirituality and meditation.

Even by screening a short video weekly curated by your coworkers on the subject, inclusively, a discussion is encouraged, but no judgments are allowed; the idea is openness.

You will find that Spirituality in the workplace can enhance employee well-being, foster a sense of purpose, and improve workplace harmony.

What is SPIRITUALITY?

In this investigation, we drop all preconceptions, beliefs, religious and cultural ideas and explore the idea directly.

From AI

The definition given by ChatGTP AI in scholar mode for the word “Spirituality” states: The term “Spirituality” comes from Latin. It stems from the root word “spiritus,” meaning “breath.”

This root word, “Breath,” is deeply significant, as life is impossible without breath. So, Spirituality’s core is the “breath of life.”

So how then did this word become one of the most discussed, fought over, manipulated, and exploited words, particularly when extended into religion? Continue Reading for Free on Medium

Here is a simple yet powerful practice for opening your awareness and setting foot on the path to the Divine within.

This simple, illuminating, and revealing meditation is an excellent starting point for the beginner and, without modification, suitable for the advanced practitioner as well:

“Rest as awareness.”

Breathe consciously, slowly in and out. Then, bring awareness to include the surrounding sounds, the smells, and the feeling of your clothes on your skin. Allow the feeling of relaxation and any feeling and sensation you notice. Do not think about it; rest as awareness of all your sensations. Let your mind, your intellect, go into silence.

Let go of focusing your awareness. Allow everything within it.

Letting go is not easy at first, as the mind will throw up all kinds of thoughts, from what to do to reactions to concerns to ideas to this and that. Don’t act on any of those thoughts. With time, your intellect will cooperate and quiet down; it is yours and will calm down, and with time and dedication, it will step aside.

Please post in the comments how it goes and what you experience; yes, the intellect can throw up all kinds of emotions; it believes it is your protector, so like a cornered animal, it can retaliate, and it does so with emotions. Acceptance, patience, and a little grace will let the light shine through. The important thing is, don’t identify with the feelings and thoughts your intellect will bring up, and step back from your thoughts to guide you to who you are.
