ALWAYS Keep the Fire BURNING!
I just recently had a close friend share one of the answers he posted on the website “Quora” to me.
Here it is :
Yea….the question was an “innocent” question.
BUT
It got me to really thinking . . .
. . . especially as it relates to our Christian walk.
Ready?
Way back in the Old Testament the Lord said something that I think REALLY applies here. The Lord was simply giving insructions to priests on the duties of their position (side note: the new testament calls all Christians today, “priests”, as well )
Here’s what the Lord told the priests:
“And the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out. And the priest shall burn wood on it every morning and lay the burnt offering in order upon it; and he shall burn thereon the fat of the peace offerings. . .
The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.” Leviticus 6:12–13
It seems that in the simple answer on Quora above, someone was told an eternal truth.
