How a cosmetics brand used custom deep analytics & increased customer retention?

We were working with a super famous FMCG Company’s Top Cosmetic Brand on their existing product’s version 2.0. It was a makeover app whose first version was already live and had about 3 million downloads in India across device platforms with active user base of 100,000 to 200,000.
The problem statement supposed to be addressed was; while the daily downloads and number of users were high; returning users were very low.
To solve the problem, we created:
- We created a custom Analytics and developed a Retargeting SDK which was integrated onto customer’s existing mobile applications on Android and iOS.
- Apart from custom analytics SDK, we also created a custom feature in the app, which is a content driven feature, based on app analytics, the content becomes adaptive, which renders personalised content for the user.
- We also started doing an ongoing deep analytics month on month for both Android & iOS apps. Based on the insights from these analytics, brand was able to personalise user experience, products/content showcase leading to higher customer retention as the customers started finding the app very relevant content to their styling preferences.
OUTCOMES of the innovative product thinking lead to:
- Achieving a download base of 5 million+ post release with active user base of 300,000 to 400,000 users per month
- Increase in returning user rate resulting in a higher brand loyalty and focused customer reach
- SDK development with great user experience
- Monthly Product Analytics Consulting for the Mobile apps on Android and iOS
