Idea: Long-press a post to show default heart as feedback then release finger to give heart feedback or slide finger to one of 5 other feedback options (#57)
Purpose is to enable a social network adopt one-tap to advance instead of scrolling, and still be able to easily give feedback about each post.

Social networks today:
- Facebook has one-tap to like, or long-press on “like” to then select options for “reactions.”
- Instagram has two quick taps to heart a photo/video.
- Snapchat has swipe up on a Story to send a private chat.
Proposed idea:
- Start on the feed. Tap to advance to Person 2’s post.
- Long-press on Person 2’s photo to show a circle around the selection of the heart icon, and release press to cause a heart to be released as feedback.
- Tap photo to advance to Person 3’s post.
- Long-press on Person 3’s photo and note the feedback options that appear with heart as default, then drag finger to select another reaction, and release finger to give that feedback.
Comments:
- Opportunity is to make giving feedback as simple as a long-press, while also enabling giving different feedback with about the same amount of gesture.
- Some alternative would be needed in case people want to copy-paste text in case of text posts where people may long-press to select text to copy.
- Difference from Facebook Reactions is that Facebook Reactions is a long-press to open the Reaction options above where the user pressed. In contrast, this interaction long-presses and the user slides their finger still touching the interface to select what feedback to give.
