Idea: Show friends’ profile photos who sent you Chats animating on Chat button in corner of Camera view (#39)
Purpose is to indicate which friends have sent you Chats and to increase the number of people who visit the Chat section.

Snapchat today:
- Opening Snapchat shows the Camera with a square in the left corner that has a number to indicate the number of unread Chats sent to you.
- There’s no indication on the Camera view about who sent you what.
Proposed idea:
- Start on Camera view. Note that the lower left square shows “4” indicating that there are 4 unread Chats sent to you. And note that a circle with a profile photo appears.
- Then that profile photo animates to the left, and the next profile photo is shown. This happens for the profile photos of all 4 people who have sent to you.
- Start to slide your finger right to left to see the profile photos of unseen Chats appear on the right side of the screen to the left.
- Tap on the “4” square and the Chat view is shown. Note that the profile photos appear in order starting with most recent, which is the same order that the profile photos animated on the Camera view.
Comments:
- Note that profile photo circles appear on the Camera screen only once. So if you close the app then open the app right away, then no animation of profile photos would appear if no new Chats have been sent to you.
- Alternative is that the share animating of profile photos could be done on the Stories button in the corner of the Camera view.
