Idea: Smaller Camera to allow profile photos for Chat on left column & Stories preview circles on right side for ease of viewing (#45)
Purpose is to increase viewing of Chat & Stories without having to swipe from the Camera view while still making just as easy to make photos/videos.

Snapchat today:
- Snapchat opens to the Camera.
- Accessing Chat or Stories requires swiping to left or right.
- There’s no preview of Chats or Stories.
Proposed idea:
- Open app to Camera view. Note that profile photos of people who have sent Chats appears on the left side. Note that unseen Chats have an outline. Tap on the top profile photo.
- That opens Person 1’s Chat. Swipe down to return to Camera view.
- Swipe the chat column to the right to show Chat view. Note that Person 1 still shows an unseen Chat because only the first Chat was viewed.
- Swipe left to return to Camera view.
- Tap on the Story preview image on the bottom right, which opens Person 18’s Story.
- Swipe down to return to Camera view.
- Swipe the Stories column to the left to show Stories view, including Person 18.
- Swipe right to go back to Camera view. Note that the Camera is scaled down. The Camera is still using the full size of the Camera.
- Tap to make a photo. Note that the photo shows full screen.
- Tap the “X” to return to Camera view.
Comments:
- Opportunity is to keep focus on Camera on open, and present previews for Chat and Stories while still keeping the design consistency of a Chat view and Stories view. So the edge of the Camera provides a preview by showing images.
- See what impact there is such as an increase in viewing Chats and Stories.
- See what impact on creating and sharing photos/videos.
