Idea: Tap to load Stories that each load to a “Playlist” & then watch in order (#32)

Purpose is to enable the user to choose which users they want to watch, then make it easy to watch those users’ Stories in order of selection without returning to the Stories screen until done viewing those Stories. This includes the ability to swipe to skip from one person’s Story to the next person’s Story.

Tap Person 4 then wait to load and note that Person 4 appears in the Playlist, then tap Person 6, then tap Person 2, then tap on Person 4 in the Playlist, tap to go to Person 4’s second post, then swipe to go to Person 6, then swipe to go to Person 2. Designed by D.J. Sherrets.

Snapchat today:

  • Today users tap on people in Stories to load the Stories. Once done loading, the user taps on the Story to view.
  • When viewing Stories, there’s no ability to go from one person’s Story to the next person’s Story without going back to the Stories list and tapping on a person.

Proposed idea:

Comments:

  • Opportunity is to help users see what media is already downloaded to be able to view.
  • Even if the user doesn’t use the Playlist list, the user can still continue to watch in order of tapping on users to view on the “Recommended” list.
Visit Stories view, tap on Person 4 to load, then tap Person 6…
…then tap Person 2, then tap on Person 4 to view the Story…
…then tapped to view Story #2 by Person 4, then swipe to see Person 6’s Story, then swipe to see Person 2’s Story. Designed by D.J. Sherrets.
