As we prepare to announce dKargo’s annual roadmap for 2024, we would like to share an update on our development progress in Q4 of 2023, in line with our existing roadmap.

LODIS Closed Beta Test Results

We successfully completed a month-long closed beta test of our blockchain-based transportation service, which is applicable to real-life environments, from November 1st last year.

This closed beta test had significant meaning in providing a differentiated experience from conventional transportation services in the Web 3.0 environment. It utilized transportation data recorded on the blockchain, rewarding participants based on their contributions without constraints on goods, means, time, or location.

Key Achievements

  • The closed beta test selected 224 testers in Seoul’s Seocho-gu, Gangnam-gu, and Songpa-gu areas where the service was available.
  • Out of the 224 testers who installed the LODIS App, 167 participated, exceeding the target number of 130 by 29%, accounting for 75% of the total. 146 testers created or imported wallets, representing 88% of those who installed the app.
  • During the closed beta test, 201 completed delivery transactions were recorded, with a total of 1,421 related transactions.
  • 29 testers who went through the entire User Flow from KYC to Bridge, Shipper(ordering), Carrier (delivery), to delivery completion received the limited SBT (LOG SBT) for the closed beta.
  • The effectiveness of the Treasury, which provides additional rewards based on contribution during the closed beta period, was verified. The highest-contributing tester, ‘디칼고007’, received 50% of the 3,067 $DKA accumulated in the smart contract during the test period, in addition to a reward of an electric scooter worth 1 million KRW.

Feedback Survey

🔍 dKargo’s Development Direction for Q1 2024

Based on the VOC and survey data received during the LODIS closed beta test period, we aim to enhance the entire process from exchange deposits and withdrawals to order registration. This refinement will simplify transaction costs and processes in future tests, providing a higher level of user experience.

1. Enhanced Real-Time Delivery Information

Issue
Difficulty for users in checking scheduled pickup times and real-time delivery status.

Improvement
Introduction of real-time delivery tracking features and provision of a webpage for recipients to check delivery status.

Expected Impact
Improved satisfaction with the delivery process for Shippers, and rapid response to emergencies.

2. Introduction of Approval Procedure after Delivery Completion

Issue
Lack of safeguards due to immediate payment of freight charges upon delivery completion.

Improvement
Addition of Shipper’s approval procedure after delivery completion to ensure the condition of goods before paying freight.

Expected Impact
Increased goods safety and satisfaction with the delivery process, enhanced security of transactions.

3. Optimization of Transaction Costs

Issue
Difficulty in predicting infrastructure costs due to variations in blockchain network demand-related transaction fees.

Improvement Plan
Optimization of transaction costs by recording only key data in asset movement, contracts, and delivery actions.

Expected Impact
Lighter on-chain data and reduced transaction costs through improved smart contract architecture.
