The De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Booters ended a thrilling match with the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Golden Booters in a draw, 1–1, earlier today at the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman Football Stadium.

Isaac Anoh served as the key player for the DLSU Green Booters while Tarshish Garciano led the way for UST as both players scored important goals for their respective teams.

The game started slow as both teams aimed for ball possession in an attempt to score an early goal in the first ten minutes of the game. Both teams showcased tight defense throughout the first half. Mo Almohjili and Anoh created multiple open chances for the Green Booters throughout the next ten minutes but couldn’t get over UST’s iron wall defense. Throughout the first half, both teams made numerous attempts for a goal but neither team conceded their strong defense. Moving forward to the 45-minute mark, Anoh is fouled and rewarded with a penalty kick for La Salle. This kick then turned into the match’s first goal, as Anoh slotted the ball in, 1–0, just before the end of the half.

Going into the second half of the game, the Green Booters attempted to boost their momentum coming from a goal during the first half, as they placed pressure on UST courtesy of creating chances from offensive runs. However, during the 60th-minute mark, it was Garciano who received the cross pass, made the run, and hit the goal for UST, tying the game at 1-all.

From here on point, both teams brought their A-game as the game began to intensify on both offense and defense. The offensive prowess of both teams was evident yet again, as well as neither team yielded their intensity on defense up until the last few minutes of the game. At the 90th minute mark, Paolo Go tried to convert on a free-kick attempt, aimed towards the goal but the shot missed the box, finishing the game in a draw, 1-all.
