The De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Booters dazzled under the evening lights, clinching a 4–0 victory over the Adamson University (AdU) Soaring Falcons in a thrilling clash, yesterday. The pulsating encounter unfolded at the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman Football Stadium, where the Green Booters, led by the dynamic quartet of Isaac Anoh, Stephen del Rosario, Christian Peñalosa, and Mo Amohjili, each scored one apiece, propelling their team to a formidable +12 in the standings.

Moreover, the victory was propelled by the goalkeeping efforts of Ico Mangaoang, who prevented the likes of AdU's Roque Empleo and Arjay Buenaobra from scoring until the 90 minutes were up.

It took 35 minutes in the first half for a goal to be netted, and luckily, that first goal of the match came from Anoh. At the beginning of the 35' mark, Buenaobra fired a corner kick for the Soaring Falcons; however, with the combined efforts of Mangaoang's excellent goaltending, coupled with Anoh's reaction time, the latter was able to tally 1–0 on the board, outrunning the tight Adamson defense.

Del Rosario's substitution at the tail end of the first half in place of an injured Anton Logarto seemed unnoteworthy. Then, del Rosario achieved his goal at 58' from a play preceded by a free kick, cementing the Green and White's lead at 2–0.

The next to score was team captain Peñalosa on the run at 71', bouncing off the momentum created by Mangaoang's breathtaking divebomb save on Empleo's close free kick. As a result, Peñalosa was able to translate Mangaoang's defensive move into a 3–0 deficit above the Soaring Falcons.

The final blow came from a contested corner kick goal from Mo Almohjili at 81'. The ball did not fully reach the back of the net, but it was determined to have passed the goal line with a slight nudge from Peñalosa. Almohjili was eventually credited with the winning point at 4–0, while Peñalosa received Man of the Match honors.

Catch the DLSU Green Booters fight for a spot in the win column again on Sunday, April 7, 7 PM, at the same venue as they face the University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons.
