The De La Salle University (DLSU) Lady Booters suffered a defeat at the hands of the Far Eastern University (FEU) Lady Booters, 1–3, earlier today at the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman Football Stadium.

In the initial moments of the match, La Salle impressed with a display of passes and solid defensive strategies. Conversely, FEU showcased prowess in maintaining possession and executing both offensive and defensive maneuvers with precision. As the game progressed, tension mounted, as both teams demonstrated eagerness to secure an early lead.

Amidst the fierce competition, Alex Gumilao, guarding the net for La Salle, showcased remarkable skill by thwarting two goal attempts from FEU. It was in the 17th minute that the intensity peaked, with both sides relentlessly pursuing their goal-scoring opportunities. La Salle’s relentless pressure paid off when Shai Del Campo established a 1–0 lead.

However, the Green and White were well aware of FEU’s resilience and sought to maintain offensive momentum, as the latter crafted strategic plays in an attempt to get a goal. Then in the 33rd minute, Erma Balacua successfully converted a penalty kick, leveling the score at 1–1.

A few minutes later, Althea Rebosura scored well-executed shot for the Tamaraws, 1–2. Likewise, Shai Del Campo then outplayed FEU on defense, occasionally encountering challenges in retaining possession against the Tamaraws. With Gumilao guarding the net, the goalie then effectively prevented more goals for the FEU Lady Booters just before the end of the first half.

As the second half commenced, La Salle found themselves pursuing another goal, yet faced formidable defense from FEU. Unfortunately, in the 48th minute, Tolentin secured a goal from the right side of the net, extending the Tamaraws advantage to two points, 1–3.

From there, FEU disrupted La Salle’s established patterns, leaving the latter scrambling to devise more effective strategies on offense. Despite the Green and White’s efforts to decipher FEU’s tactics and mount a counterattack, the former struggled to breach FEU’s defensive line.

With 87 minutes on the clock, Anicka Castañeda then showcased her skills with a goal attempt but unfortunately fell short of finding the back of the net. From there it was evident that La Salle continued to struggle to respond to FEU’s relentless offensive onslaught. The match soon closed out with the DLSU Lady Booters conceding to FEU, 1–3.
