I decided to go to visit my mother in France during the May holidays. I called her and she said that they are going to spend their vacation in Portugal at the beginning of the month. I thought not for a long time, that I haven’t been in Portugal yet, and I’m very interested in such a distant part of Europe, and decided that I should go.

At first, I just looked for a flight to Lisbon and was frustrated by the cost of tickets (about 23 000 ₽ round-trip), so I’d looked for other ways to get to Portugal. And somehow I made my travel plan: Moscow — Riga — Brussels — Buironfosse (France) — Lisbon (Portugal) — Paris — Brussels — Riga. This route wasn’t much cheaper, but way more interesting.

I had visited Riga before during my trip in 2013 and I already loved this city: narrow streets, old architecture, parks, tourists, low prices, etc. So I walked around Old Town for a few days and made beautiful photos of Riga, enjoy!

There is going to be another parts of my little eurotrip soon, I’m going to show you small northern towns of France and Belgium, a little bit of Portugal and Atlantic Ocean. See you soon!
