Turn Off Your Email this Thanksgiving
You already know the stress of work email is killing you a little bit every day (unless you don’t know that, in which case please read this, we will wait).
If you haven’t already moved to a batch processing email system, the holidays are a perfect time to experiment with a new, lower stress way to handle your work emails.
The basic idea is that constantly checking your work emails is both killing you physically and killing your productivity. You need to move to a system where you only check work email 1–3x a day, and only during work hours. Never after work, never on weekends and never on holidays. One more never: never check your work email first thing in the morning.
This Thanksgiving turn your work email off for 24 hours (better yet, 48, or bet yet: turn your email off from Wednesday night until Monday AM).
Let the world know: #emailholiday
You may be jittery and nervous the first day, but by Sunday you will feel the freedom of keeping email in its place.
Your work email is probably ubiquitous. It is on your computer and phone. DNDEmail helps you pause your email everywhere: home computer, work computer, tablets, phones.
DNDEmail enables do not disturb features for your Gmail inbox. Turn it on to hold new emails out of your inbox. Keep a clean inbox to focus on the most important priorities, not the most recently received email.
