Welcoming contributions to the DNN Alpha

Last week we released our much anticipated Decentralized News Network alpha and have been thrilled with the response so far.

Many people, it seems, are interested in securing a solution to the problem of political media bias. To our current supporters, we would like to extend a sincere thank you for your engagement and interest in furthering the adoption of the DNN.

Our mission from the onset has been to provide a blockchain-based political news platform that combines news creation with decentralized networks to deliver factual content, curated by the community.

Our alpha demonstrates how this process works, allowing users to purchase DNN tokens for use on the platform. Tokens are utilized at each stage of the publishing system, from article creation to submission, review, and community-voted article acceptance.

User participation is incredibly valuable to us, ensuring the operation and security of each stage, as well as the smooth execution by the DNN smart contracts.

We are now making the alpha partially open source on GitHub, looking for more in-depth support from our community. We welcome contributions by way of fixing bugs, adding to the UI, and overall refinements that will serve in obtaining broader adoption for DNN.

“The community plays a pivotal part in DNN’s growth and will be a driving force in its success. DNN is all about the people that use it and so it only makes sense that its users should be the ones contributing to it. Every contribution helps shape DNN for the better.” — CTO Dondrey Taylor

If you’d like to know more about how smart contracts power the review process of articles submitted to DNN for publishing on the platform, please check out this recent blog post.

We welcome all feedback on telegram, slack, and bitcointalk.
