We’ve all said it before. Probably because we’ve been conditioned to think that “having it together” isn’t just an attainable goal, but one that everyone else has already achieved. And hey, if we’re lucky enough to forget, our Instagram feeds usually do a good job of reminding us. (Damn you, Instagram! JK I LOVE YOU)

Next time you find yourself asking “Why can’t I just get it together?” try taking a deep, deep breath and following these 5 steps. They’re not magic, but they’re meant to help you give yourself a freaking break.

5 Steps For When You Just Can’t Get It Together:

  1. Ask yourself what “together” looks like.
  2. Acknowledge what’s going on in your real life right now that’s influencing you or maybe out of your control altogether.
  3. Knowing that, ask yourself if your version of “together” is even possible.
  4. Think of one small thing you can do that will give you a little bit of that “together” feeling this week.
  5. Or don’t, and instead remember that whether it’s about working out or just living life, you’re not alone. No one really has it together.👇
