Dialogue Earth documentary debuts on docfilm42

On the 50th World Earth Day, April 22, 2020 a documentary on an artist that makes the earth her canvas starts on docfilm42.

It should have been a bioscope start for Dialogue Earth, now it is a remote VOD start for the film that features the art of Ulrike Arnold.

Here one of our docfilm42 platform curators Patricia Gusovius tells us why this documentary is a must-see:

Artist Ulrike Arnold ©Hank Levine

Dialogue Earth is a film for the big screen. How good the film actually is, however, is revealed to this Corona-troubled reviewer while viewing the film on her fist-sized smartphone. The image is compressesed to the size of her palm. Hank Levine’s documentary road movie based on an universal source of artistic creation leads us into artist Ulrike Arnold’s mobile landscape studio.

She looks for secluded landscapes around the world. There she creates her large-format, double-sided landscape pictures with the materials she found on location in simple connection with heaven and earth. Meteorite dust, sharp and hard, is always part of it.
