Dockship.io is a marketplace for AI models where data scientists can publish AI models and people all over the world can use it. It’s like an App Store for AI models.
It is said that “The world’s most valuable resource is no longer oil, but data” however we tend to disagree. We believe that:
Data is like crude oil and the AI models that are refined out of this data are the most important resource.
Team Dockship
After a successful exit of our previous AI company, we realised that AI models are the fundamental building blocks of any AI application. The chatbots we talk to on a daily basis to the image beautification apps like Face App or Prisma- every App is powered by AI in some form or the other.
We also realised that training an AI model is an extremely time-consuming process and requires a huge amount of data, time and compute resources. Making it our of reach from a lot of users.
We created Dockship so that users can find ready to deploy pre-trained AI models that have been verified and performance tested for different machines thus eliminating the need for creating and training your own AI models.
Dockship has been carefully crafted while keeping data scientists in mind. They can publish their own AI model on this marketplace and later earn money through downloads! Thus creating new freelance opportunities for them.
We believe AI should not rest with a handful of people and we will strive to distribute it using this marketplace.
