The humble bin. Long has it stood as the paragon of sanitation in a friendless and hostile world. A delirious object with very little verve, whose simple role is to be the sole meeting point where stories end.

This, dear reader, is an exploration of these stories.

1. The Beach Bin.
Standing large, hard and weather-worn against a whipping wodge of whelpish wavelets, the beach bin is the ouroborous bastion against which the human relationship with nature is perforated.

Where is the line between landscape and foppish anthropish concerns?

It is here.

In this bin you will find artifacts such as the single, damaged flip-flop, and the recently worked disposable barbecue, its stubborn remains patiently burning through both itself and the bin’s hard outer plastic. You will find Seagull feathers, nappies, contraceptive devices and off-colour fishing equipment of indeterminate function.
