Driving High on Cannabis
Did You Wake and Bake or Get Sprayed With a Skunk?
Your cannabis cologne smells gamey
More and more, I have been smelling noxious fumes while I am driving. Not car exhaust, not a nearby fire, but a distinct pungent odor coming into my car through the air vents.
At first, I thought it was a skunk; however, logic kicked in. A skunk can’t run down a busy 4-lane road for 10 miles at 60 miles an hour.
Perhaps a new species of rabid Pepé Le Pews has somehow evolved, and we are just now learning about them.
It seems that smoking pot while driving has become acceptable and, dare I say, a significant part of pothead ethos. While the public tide is increasingly in favor of legalizing weed, taking bong hits on your way to work is still ill-advised and illegal.
Some people will defend pot use anytime and anywhere until their last high. These people have a pot leaf embroidered on their sweatshirts, 420 bumper stickers, and an assortment of cheese puffs in their cars.
They roll up in their car only to exit with a nuclear cloud of smoke following them wherever they go.
