The Toronto Police Department is asking for the public’s support in finding the Cold Storage Bandit plaguing married men throughout Toronto.

Our officers were alerted to the crime when area resident, Thom Gunt, notified 22 Division of a home disturbance early this morning.

Mr. Gunt decided to make coffee. Normally his wife helps him, but she had an early morning meeting and had already left the home. We think the perpetrator had been surveilling the Gunt residence and entered between 6:17 AM when Mrs. Gunt left for work, and 7:09 AM when our dispatch received the call.

Trigger warning: Mr. Gunt could not have suspected how his day would unfold. But he got the shock of his life when he opened the fridge and found the milk.

Mr. Gunt called in the disturbance and reported the milk was on the shelf at eye level. He knew it wasn’t there yesterday, the day before, or any day on record for that matter.

More alarmingly, the milk was nowhere to be found when officers reported to the home at 7:22 AM. Mr. Gunt knew enough to remove himself from the scene of the crime while waiting for help. We can only assume the assailant was playing with us and returned before…
