We Are All In 30 Seconds of Jeopardy!
Why does such a brief time period seem to take so long to pass?
Here we are, waiting for 30 seconds to go by. Why 30 seconds? Thirty seconds seems to be some kind of generically magic number that comes in handy for a lot of different things.
We have 30 seconds to midnight. There are 30-second TV commercials. We have soundbites, news updates, and elevator pitches that all shoot for 30-second time limits.
We do not have a “30-second rule” for food; we have a 5-second one. Of course, one is no better than the other. I don’t care how clean the floor is.
I’m sure there is a 30-second rule you would like to add to this mix. Please feel free to leave your additional candidates in the comments section.
But for now, we will be focusing on Jeopardy!
Jeopardy! is fast-paced, and full of answers for smarty pants couch jockeys to shout at the television.
