Walz summed it up beautifully with his “they’re weird” jab.

Atop the “weird” label I’d layer in: misinformation, disinformation and lies. Then add lots of misogyny, racism, a desire to return to a fabled period of American history when white men ruled the Earth, highly intrusive Christian nationalism, an anti-knowledge, anti-science view of the universe, rampant divisiveness, and a few of the best people with the best words and you’ve got MAGAts, truly the lowest form of political life.

To honor these lowlifes I’ve decided to favor them with a few verses in the lowest form of poetry imaginable, the limerick.

And how do I know that limericks are the lowest of the low? Because I can write them, and occasionally even get the meter and rhyming scheme right.

And “yes” I also know that mockery is a low art form too. But, then again, I’m not a politician, a leader/statesman…
