In this article we will dissect each card pack available at the upcoming presale. There are over 2,500 different combinations of cards and frames to collect in the first release, Unearthly Origins, so if you want to know what the best chances are of getting exactly the combos you want, this article is for you.
Doctor Who: Worlds Apart is an officially licensed TCG using the Ethereum blockchain to secure and make game assets tradable for real money.
This type of game asset is called a “Non-Fungible Token” — NFT for short.

All pack contents are 100% random unless otherwise stated in the pack description.
All cards bought during the presale will be tradable on our internal marketplace in 2021. Withdrawals to third-party sites and wallets will also be enabled by then.
Let’s start with the basics.
Understanding Cards & Frames
All of Unearthly Origins’ 212 cards are minted on the blockchain with all of the 12 different card frames, equating to more than 2,500 different combinations of cards and frames to collect from card packs.
We call each of these 2,500+ unique-looking assets “card/frame combos” or simply cosmetic combos.
Some combos have an infinite supply per card while others are very limited. This is to ensure that there will always be affordable cards for casual players to collect and play with, while still having the possibility of certain cards being worth hundreds or thousands of pounds, simply because of the rarity of their cosmetic frame.
Let’s use the 2 most commons frames as an example:
Core Frames — Unlimited Supply
Standard, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Black Diamond.
- Core Frame NFTs will always be for sale.
- Standard can be upgraded all the way up to Black Diamond by playing the game in 2021.
Alien Frames — Limited Supply
Bronze Dalek, Cyber-Warrior, Silurian, Weeping Angel, Ice Warrior, TARDIS, and White-Point Star.
- Unsold Alien Frame NFTs will be burnt when the presale ends.
- Each Alien Frame NFT also comes with all 5 Core Frames unlocked, ready to use in-game if you ever want to switch that sweet-looking Weeping Angel frame to a shiny Gold or Black Diamond frame on a specific NFT, for example.

The Revolution of the Daleks Pack: $2.99
This pack is not part of Unearthly Origins. It was made in celebration of the 2020 New Year’s Day special episode.
Each RotD pack contains the exact same 5 cards shown below, all in the Standard frame.
The Core Pack: $4.99
The Unearthly Origins Core pack always be available for purchase. This is to help prevent the game from becoming pay-to-win; cards with Core frames should always be affordable.
This is the cheapest offer and only contains Core Frames, i.e. frames with infinite supplies.
Remember, buying this pack will give you the same cards as any other pack, just with less rare frames. You don’t miss out on any gameplay advantages.

- 1.75% — Legendary card with the Standard frame.
- 1.5% — Legendary card with the Bronze frame.
- 1% — Legendary card with the Silver frame.
- 0.5% — Legendary card with the Gold frame.

For those who want a bit of everything! This pack contains 5 cards that each have the possibility of dropping with 1 of 10 different frames.
The 6th card will always have the TARDIS frame (until all TARDIS frames are sold out).
The rarest card/Alien frame combinations in Premium are:
- 1.25% — Legendary card with the Bronze Dalek frame.
- 0.85% — Legendary card with the Cyber-Warrior frame.
- 0.7% — Legendary card with the Silurian frame.

The Exclusive Pack contains the Weeping Angel frame which isn’t available in any other pack. Each pack has, on average, 1.75 Weeping Angel frames in it. It also cuts out the Core frames and gives you 2 guaranteed TARDIS frames on top (until sold out).

- 0.25% — Legendary card with the Bronze Dalek frame.
(Higher chance in the Premium pack) - 0.5% — Legendary card with the Cyber-Warrior frame.

- 1.75% — Legendary card with the Weeping Angel frame.

Each card has a 50% chance of being one or the other of those 2 Alien frames.

Just like the Exclusive pack, the TARDIS pack has a frame that’s only found here, but instead of getting 1.75 Weeping Angel frames on average per pack, you get 5 guaranteed White-Point Star frames in the TARDIS pack.
