What an achievement by Kimia Alizadeh, 18 years-old, from Iran. She has just won bronze in the Taekwando (57kg category)

She has just become the first Iranian woman to win an Olympic medal. And what is more, she has done this in a country with minimal coaching facilities and restrictions for women, making it difficult for them to train and compete.

Kimia is a pioneer, and I hope she will light the flames of sporting achievement for Iranian women.
