Biography

Kana Ohashi (Ph.D.)

Kana is a visual ethnographer based in Tokyo, Japan. She completed Documentary Filmmaking programme at MetFilm School London. She made an ethnographic documentary “‘Families’ on the move” as a research creation and was awarded Ph.D. in Media and Governance from Keio University Graduate School of Media and Governance, Japan.
She is currently working as an Associate Professor at Department of Communication Studies, Tokyo Keizai University. http://visual-ethnography-lab.tokyo/

Daijiro Mizuno (MA/PhD RCA)

Born in Tokyo in 1979, Daijiro completed MA and PhD at Royal College of Art, London.
Returning from the UK Daijiro began working as a freelance design researcher on multiple design projects.
Daijiro is currently working as a Professor at KYOTO Design Lab in Kyoto Institute of Technology, teaching design research and interdisciplinary design.
