Father and Son Team Here to Take Your Jobsite to the Next Level

Skip has over 31 years of multi-faceted experience within the utility-construction and field-services industry. He started as a field technician and went on to hold various other positions related to telecommunications and utilities including being a co-founder of Safe Site. Prior to that, he served on the 1999 study of One-call and Damage Prevention Best Practice Committee where he was highly recognized by Rodney Slater, Secretary of US Department of Transportation for his efforts in keeping America safe with underground damage prevention. Along with numerous boards and committees associated with the excavating and locating industry, Skip’s extensive experience within the industry has led him to his current role as owner of DocuSite where he now spearheads the sales, marketing, and customer relations departments for the company.

Justin, son of Skip. While working toward his bachelor’s degree in business, he co-founded a highly successful underground utility business based out of Northern Colorado called Safe Site. During that time, he learned the ins and outs of what it took to be a Utility Locator, Hydro Excavation Specialist, Laborer, Supervisor, Area Manager and finally General Manager of a small business within the industry. Safe Site grew from 4 to over 300 employees in 3 states and after several years of building it into a very successful business, he and Skip sold it. Safe Site’s overall quality standards are now used nationally by other numerous other companies. This experience helped him to be able to recognize and solve the real issues that came up across the entire field services industry. One of the main problems that he continued to see in the field was the overall lack of documentation and organization.

“I knew there was a better way to help construction companies mitigate their liability and organize their projects and so after moving on from Safe Site, we started our research and development of Docusite.”

In 2015, the father son duo set out to revolutionize the way construction and excavation function and decided to make it flourish. We were founded on collaboration and continue to thrive in that mindset.

Docusite is an app made for construction professionals, by construction professionals. Keeping your jobsite safe and efficient is what we strive for. Keeping checklists, accessing important documents and communicating every detail with your team is the key to a successful project. Our main goal is to help you mitigate liability by documenting excavation sites in one organized workspace.

It’s time to update the way you work.

With over 50 years of combined industry experience we bring you a much-needed tool. It has recently become apparent just how necessary it is to keep up with the fast paced world of technology.

The Docusite app enables job site managers and employees to keep track of every detail. Whether your project is small or large scale, we understand just how imperative it is to not only know before you go, but to track all necessary steps to get the job done.

After extensive research of various sites and working with individuals like you on what works and doesn’t work, we have developed a simple, efficient construction project management software solution.

Our founders noticed most sites weren’t documented properly if at all. Important details slipped through the cracks and both time and money were being thrown away unnecessarily. Being proactive in the logging of all information is instrumental to the overall success of your business.

Your team is counting on you to be on top of it and to be well organized.

If you forget or fail to follow a checklist of steps to ensure the safety and consistency of your jobsite, problems are more likely to ensue. Disorganized companies are exposed to on-site accidents, damage claims and lengthy/expensive lawsuits.

We are here to help you help your team prevent that from happening and we have the experience that it takes to do so in fast and simple ways.
