What Do You Meme: Many Faces of Doge Art Show

Accepting submissions from June 1st to June 15th

Memes are an element of a culture or system of behaviour that may be considered to be passed from one individual to another by non-genetic means, especially imitation — dictionary

Like memetics, the What Do You Meme Show will explore the ideas, beliefs, and rituals that have propagated in/through our culture with unstoppable force. It is a show for and by the underdoges, the survivors, the imitated, the recreated, and the weird that won’t give up.

Set against a weekend long crypto-economics convention the Many faces of Doge will explore our meme culture and ask what does that mean?

About the show

Over 80 spaces are available for What Do You Meme: The Many Faces of Doge. Artits will also have the chance to sell or auction their work, for both fiat and cryptocurrency.

The weekend long crypto-convention is expected to sell 300–400 tickets and this event will be part of the closing ceremonies.

This is not a show exclusively for crypto nerds. We are accepting anything that embodies the spirit of absurdity, memetics, decentralization, cryptocurrency, shibe or anything in the world of Doge. Artists will have a unique opportunity to get exposure to a new Vancouver subculture, as well as other local artists and performers.

Artists are invited to participate in this community art show by submitting work that is identified as meme, sculpture, paint, graphic or print media. Anything goes when it comes to form or medium, as long as it is inspired by our themes.

Artists can submit up to 2 submissions, 1 or both of these may be displayed depending on the number of submissions received.
