Most of you have used a virtual assistant or chatbot at some point without realising it. The most famous examples are Siri (Apple) and Alexa (Amazon Echo/Dot) which are voice based assistants. Google Assistant lacks a personable name but works with voice and text queries. Here is our blog on our favourites

Dogleg Golf will be launched with Dani Dogleg our helpful little Shibuya dog. Like all good dogs, he will always try his best to keep you happy and fetch you nice things . We will launch as a chatbot exclusively on the Facebook Messenger platform.

There will be a menu structure that you can tap your way through but at all times you have the ability to text him with your request. The assistant will search his skill set, process your language and hopefully come up with the right answer. The chatbot field is relatively young and it takes a long time to achieve a high level of success with open enquiries. But the potential is there for a very different experience to that of an app.

We hope golfers love the personality of Dani. We hope that they enjoy having access to Dogleg Golf right in Messenger > there is nothing to download!

Dani’s first set of skills that we will launch with include helping you organise games with your friends or helping you discover new golfers to play with.

“Dani, are there any beginner golfers nearby?”

“Can I change my profile?”
