About Doing Time

A year and a day said the judge. Now get the fuck out of my courtroom!

I’m paraphrasing, of course. At least with the second sentence. But the first? Verbatim! Imagine going to prison for the first time in your life at age 68. And I’m not talking Club Fed. White-collar offenders were few and far between where I went. And there was no “yard.” My designated facility was in Lower Manhattan. The yard was the roof with walls and wire mesh surrounding the area.

Prison is an experience like no other. But with the right frame of mind, you can come out a better person. Stories of spiritual uplifting live here.
