Our Little White House has everything you could want in a sitcom — crazy characters, unbelievable cluelessness, and outrageous mix-ups, not to mention amazing stupidity and stunning plot twists.

Sure, you might have to change some names. Donald Trump might be Donald Thump, Mike Pense — Michael Spence, and like that.

I’ve roughed out a partial Our Little White House cast list for you:

  • Donald Thump ………. Alec Baldwin
  • Michael Spence………. Richard Dryfus
  • Donald Thump Jr. …….Oliver Hudson
  • Sarah H. Landers……. Camryn Manheim
  • Steven Diller………….. Bill Hader
  • Steve Cannon…………..Rainn Wilson

And imagine the guest stars you could attract. The cast of characters — crooked campaign managers, lying generals, slippery lobbyists, plutocrat cabinet secretaries, smarmy politicians, fanatical contributors. Hell, Scaramucci and Amarosa alone, leastwise together, would have people laughing until they puked.

The story possibilities are endless. The plot lines just dealing with immigrants alone could run for half a season and that doesn’t even consider the laugh riot that is Kim Jong Un.

Vlad Putin? Are you kidding me? Dictators are always a scream. Look what Mel Brooks did for Hitler and you’ll get an idea of the hilarity Chuck Lorrie could create with Vlad P.

Heck, you could script at least a dozen shows just by taking a quick perusal of the transcripts of last six months of The Donald’s press conferences.

The show practically writes itself. In fact, it is already writing itself, on Twitter every single day.

I can’t believe Larry David and Chuck Lorrie haven’t cranked out a couple of pilot episodes months ago.

While the real President Donald Trump is anything but funny, Our Little White House’s President Donald Thump would be a laugh riot.

(Alternate titles: 1600, Top Down, Unstable Genius, Trust Me)

Come on, Hollywood. Get with it. If there’s one thing President Donald Trump’s administration has made us yearn for, it’s a really good laugh.

It’s time and past time to turn this monumental lemon into lemonade.
