A Synopsis of Heir to the Empire
Five years after the action of Return of the Jedi a new adventure unfolds. Luke, Han, Leia, and Lando are back in a high stakes battle between the Empire and the New Republic.
Grand Admiral Thrawn has taken command of the Empire’s fleet. Teamed up with Captain Pellaeon, they seek to enlist the help of a new dark Jedi to help weaken the New Republic by capturing Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia.
Thrawn may have found Skywalker’s kryptonite. He is building up the Empire’s fleet. Thrawn prepares to launch the first attack against the New Republic. Can anyone stop the Empire?
My opinion of Heir to the Empire
This was my first time reading a Star Wars book. I’ve seen the movies over the years but I wouldn’t consider myself a diehard fan. My cousin, God rest his soul, was an avid fan and a collector. He had a plan to read every single Star Wars novel, novella, and see every movie and show. I decided I wanted to see what all the fuss was about, so I picked up this classic.
I enjoyed this book from start to finish. It hooked me right away with the great writing and intriguing storyline. All the characters I remember from the movies are in this book so I felt right at home.
The characters are developed and keep developing. I enjoyed the part where Han and Solo discuss how Solo obtained the Millenium Falcon. I smiled because I just watched Solo do it on the screen, in his namesake movie on Netflix.
My recommendation and rating of Heir to the Empire
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I recommend this book to any Star Wars fan. Also, any action, thriller, or sci-fi fan. It’s a great story that keeps the tension going and continues this great series.
