Daily Bite- God will hear you and step-in
Today’s chapter: Psalms 22
Today’s verse: Psalms 22:24
For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.
For dogs have compassed me… (Psalms 22:16) forces one to think about wolves hunting in a pack. They close in on their prey, encircle them and leave them with nowhere to go.
The story about the Israelites leaving Egypt is one that reminds us about being trapped with nowhere to go. The Israelites were closed in by their predator. Pharaoh’s army was behind and the Red Sea was ahead. There was nowhere to go.
Moses called on God, God heard his request and stepped in to save the Israelites. The Red Sea miraculously parted and the Israelites escaped from Pharaoh and his army.
Psalm 22 was a plee from David for God to rescue him. He prayed day and night (Psalms 22:2) because he was surrounded by his enemies. For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me…(Psalms 22:16). David knew the same God that stepped in for the Israelites would intervene and save him.
You may be in the middle of a situation that you have no way to get out of. Maybe you feel overwhelmed by all the negative talk and people who surround you. Your situation may be getting worst moment by moment but that is when God will step in.
God stepped in and parted the Red Sea for the Israelites. He stepped in for David and He’ll certainly step in for you.
Call upon Him day and night. God will hear you and step in. He is going to work a miracle for you.
