Nonprofits using Joomla — take a look at our guide on how to integrate Donorbox donation forms on Joomla websites:

  1. Instead of using a donation module or plugin, we are using an embed code. Unfortunately, iframe codes are prohibited on Joomla websites by default. As such, you will need to change a few settings to ensure that iframe codes are allowed on your website before pasting your embed code. To do so, go to your Joomla admin page and click on “Extensions” in the top toolbar, followed by “Plugins”.

2. Using the search bar, find and click on the “Editor-TinyMCE” plugin.

3. Locate the “Prohibited Elements” field by scrolling down the page, and delete “iframe” from that list. Click save.

4. Now, access your Donorbox dashboard and click on the “Embed Form” button to the right of the campaign you want to integrate into your Joomla website.

5. Copy your donation form’s embed code.

6. Return to your Joomla admin control panel and click on the “New Article” button on the toolbar on the left side of the page.

7. After naming your article, press the “Toggle Editor” button located to the bottom right of the content text box.

8. After you’ve pressed the toggle button, paste the embed code for your donation form into the content text box.

9. Click “Save” and your donation form should now be visible on your editor, as well as on your website. You’re all set!
