Students, individuals and indeed human beings cannot be broken down into a series of numbers, statistics and predetermined outcomes. Life is unpredictable, quality of life is subjective and there are many potential pathways to achieve happiness. The traditional approach to “lecture” is to speak to the masses and deter any sense of creativity or individualism as it is considered to be “off topic”. Conformity through command and control does not belong in education as students are people and not just another brick in the wall. Let’s take charge of the mould, break it and let the pieces adapt to form truly equal opportunities for all.
