Doocer is a web application for creating E-Books. You can create a Kindle Book from a collection of links on doocer.com.

The website had just been launched. Service is not stable for the moment, and things may go wrong. I will improve it continuously, to make it solid and easy to use.

A Sad History

There was a service called readlists, which is shutdown now. Doocer would be like readlists at the very first step, so that you can create a book from any links. But it would not be a readlists replacement.

I have many ideas for doocer. Many of you may just have a try and leave the website forever. But if you stay, you will see the improvement time by time.

Doocer would be a paid service, so that it can exist for a long time (if possible). I hope it wouldn’t be the next readlists which was shutdown at a sudden. It will be free during a short beta period.

Feedbacks

There are two main parts in the service:

  1. content parser
  2. book generator

The parser was written nearly 4 years ago, which was re-written recently. I’d like to hear your feedbacks when it doesn’t parse well.

The book generator can generate EPUB and MOBI books. If you send the MOBI file through your kindle email, you will find there is no cover for the book. This can not be fixed by me. If you really want a book with cover, you can download the MOBI file, and transfer it via USB to your kindle.
