“The metaverse” already sounds dated. Because we’re already living in it.

Here’s a prediction: The term “metaverse” will sound silly and old-fashioned before too long. Like “cyberspace” or “the information superhighway” or “surfing the web.” Why? Because we already have terms which cover this territory: “the web,” “the internet,” and “online” cover everything we’ll be doing in the metaverse already, and we use them so often every day, we don’t think about it.
