村上春樹📚 6小說 🎼音樂清單📜 Playlists of 6 Haruki Murakami novels
雖然，我跟愛慢跑的老伯性格天差地遠，但透過他的小說，竟有這麼多音樂共通點，幫他跟這些藝人牽線，蠻有趣的。
Although Haruki Murakami and I are so different person, there’s so much music we loved in common. It’s quite interesting to find music playlists in his novels.
《聽風的歌》
“Hear The Wind Sing”
《聽風的歌》有段突兀插曲，男主角在家喝啤酒、吃零食，休閒時光被一個廣播電台主持人Call-Out打斷，說是有女孩子點了這首歌給男主角，男主角還在空中被追問為甚麼被女生點這首歌：「海灘男孩」的〈加州女孩〉。
In “Hear The Wind Sing”, the man was enjoying his leisure time of drinking beer, eating snacks at home. But he was interrupted by a radio host Call-Out. And the radio host kept asking the man to explain why a girl called to the radio show to ask a song “California Girls” for the man.
年紀漸長，重新翻閱《聽風的歌》時，才了解這首歌歌詞與輕快旋律，是這本書的基調：對於年輕歲月、夏日戀情以及某個時代一去不復返的感念。
As I getting older, I read the novel”Hear The Wind Sing” again. Then I realized that the song lyrics and light melodies are the keynotes of the book: for the young age, summer romance and something has gone forever.
For me, I like the song “The Boys of Summer” by Don Henley for a similar reason.
經典日劇《海灘男孩》（日語：ビーチボーイズ），也有一點追憶夏日年華味道，劇中竹野內豐跟《聽風的歌》男主角稍有一點點疏離的共通點，劇中的反町隆史在這日劇前段，有點《聽風的歌》男主角好友老鼠的味道，但後面亮出失敗過的游泳選手梗，就是另外一回事了。
The classic Japanese TV drama “Beach Boy” also contained a little reminiscent of the taste of summer as the novel “Hear The Wind Sing”. The role played by Yutaka Takenouchi was the man in “Hear The Wind Sing” in exile. And the role played by Takashi Sorimachi was the man named “The Rat” in “Hear The Wind Sing”.
It’s only my pleasure to compare the novel with a classic TV drama.
《遇見100%的女孩》
“On Seeing the 100% Perfect Girl One Beautiful April Morning”
《遇見100%的女孩》主題曲是〈來自伊帕內瑪的女孩〉，但這首人類史上被錄音第二多次的歌，受盛名之累，年輕剛聽時，驚為天人，後來波莎諾瓦音樂口水版本鋪天蓋地而來，就失去當初那種驚艷感。
“The Girl from Ipanema” is the theme song of novel “On Seeing the 100% Perfect Girl One Beautiful April Morning”. It is believed to be the second most recorded pop song in history, after “Yesterday” by The Beatles.
I liked it very much as I heard the wonderful song for the first time. But it lost its magic to me after all bossa nova music covered it all over the world.
多年後再聽，史坦蓋茲、葛貝托夫婦與安東尼奧卡洛斯喬賓這首歌，一聽見亞絲楚葛貝托帶點迷濛的女聲，就又迷上了，亞絲楚葛貝托的聲音真讓人有似近似遠的時空想像空間。
I listened to it after many years. The voice of Astrud Gilberto still can hit me like a lightning. There’s a sense of distance that could create a twilight zone of time.
It’s a classic more than the novel could tell.
《1973年的彈珠遊戲》
“Pinball,1973”
因為有出社會的好友老鼠，《1973年的彈珠遊戲》有《聽風的歌》續集味，村上春樹本來在日本就替出版社翻譯很多小說，《1973年的彈珠遊戲》經營翻譯社的男主角更有作者的影子。
“Pinball ,1973” is more like a sequel to “Hear The Wind Sing”. The character was a translator for publishers.
Actually, it’s a job of Haruki Murakami in real life.
一段男主角努力趕上翻譯工作進度的描述裡寫道：「一面聽錄音帶播出古老的史坦蓋茲，一面工作到中午。史坦蓋茲、阿爾黑格、吉米蘭尼、泰迪科第尼、泰尼幹，這是最棒的樂隊演奏〈Jumping with symphony sid〉，我跟著錄音帶播出的蓋茲主奏全部用口哨吹完後，心情就好太多了。」。
Haruki Murakami wrote the man praised a tape of music played by Stan Getz Quartet as working.
這個演出組合演奏這首曲子，收錄在蓋茲四重奏與布魯貝克協力專輯《爵士高峰會》：
That’s “Jumping with symphony sid” in album “Stan Getz-Dave Brubeck/Jazz Summit”.
《舞，舞，舞》
“Dance,Dance,Dance”
《舞，舞，舞》開頭男主角一個人出發去埋葬過世的貓咪，在開車途中憤世嫉俗批評了很多歌手，最後稱讚「滾石合唱團」的〈棕糖〉是首好歌。
“Dance, Dance, Dance” described the man sadly drove to bury his cat. After he had cursed a lot of pop artists, he praised the song “Brown Sugar (The Rolling Stones)”.
一個人埋葬貓咪後，男主角聽著電台播放了雷查爾斯的〈生來失去〉，村上春樹寫道：「聽他唱歌我真的很悲傷，幾乎落淚。」，這樣情感強烈的句子，在村上春樹小說裡，只出現過這一次。
After the man had buried his cat, he drove back and listened to the radio playing “Born to Lose” by Ray Charles.
Haruki Murakami wrote the song was so sad to make him cry. That’s most emotional words in all his works.
《舞，舞，舞》裡羊男出現的海豚旅館，靈感顯然來自爵士名曲〈在海豚街上〉，錄過這首歌的爵士樂手清單幾乎就是村上春樹喜歡的爵士樂手清單。
The song “On Green Dolphin Street” was the inspiration of the Dolphin Hotel in “Dance,Dance,Dance”.
陪少女阿雪吃完晚飯，跟她解釋男女約會是怎麼回事後，男主角載著疲累的阿雪回家，在車裡一路播放一面哼著旋律的是約翰柯川的《敘事曲》專輯。
After accompanied by the young girl named Snow for dinner, the man explained to her how the date of the men and women working. Then he drove her home and listened to the music of John Coltrane album “Ballads” in the car.
男主角跟成名人的年少好友五反田一致推崇的史萊和史東家族合唱團名曲〈凡夫俗子〉，歌詞寫得言簡意遠：
The man and his celebrity friend liked a song “Everyday People” by Sly and the Family Stone very much.The lyrics of the song is extraordinary.
《國境之南，太陽之西》
“South of the Border, West of the Sun”
《國境之南，太陽之西》是我個人非常偏愛的村上春樹小說，男主角阿始跟女主角島本，小時候聽音樂結緣，但村上春樹在這本小說的音樂描述，造就一個公案，一個模糊空間、還有跟經典電影借了梗，可說趣味最多。
首先，小說寫到由納京高錄製的〈國境之南，太陽之西〉唱片，根本不存在，納京高終其一生，沒有錄製出版過〈國境之南，太陽之西〉這首歌。(有英文版村上小說迷為此苦苦考古)
也許村上春樹想像中有納京高演唱的〈國境之南，太陽之西〉版本，做為此書的背景主軸。
Nat King Cole’s version of the song “South of the Border” appears in a Japanese novel “South of the Border, West of the Sun” by Haruki Murakami.
However, Nat King Cole’s version of this song actually does not exist since Nat didn’t record the song during his lifetime.
其次，阿始跟島本在家聽的李斯特鋼琴協奏曲，村上春樹寫不記得演奏者了，以他的記性，應該是寫作當時覺得手邊詮釋此曲的演奏版本不適合永久置入推薦。
Both the man and his childhood sweetheart loved to listen to a vinyl of Piano Concerto by Liszt.
阿始與島本愛聽的納京高名曲〈假裝〉，詞曲都非常感人。

小說寫到只要島本出現，阿始的爵士酒吧鋼琴師就彈艾靈頓公爵的〈惡星情人〉，是借了《北非諜影》裡，每次英格麗褒曼現身，鋼琴師就彈〈As Time Goes By〉的梗。
The man owned a bar. And his pianist would play “The Star-Crossed Lovers” for him as his childhood sweetheart showed up. It’s just like “As Time Goes By” in the movie “Casablanca”.
《挪威的森林》
“Norwegian Wood”
《挪威的森林》，連書名都應該叫做《挪威的木頭》，2016年台灣創作歌手朱約信（豬頭皮）寫了一首神曲〈挪威的木頭〉來嘲諷這個謬誤，MV裡有Cosplay版的直子、玲子還有村上春樹：
原曲出自於披頭四《橡膠靈魂》專輯，詞意有「春夢了無痕」的隱喻味道，沒有甚麼森林。
It’s a mistake to translate the name of the book into “Norwegian Woods” in Taiwanese edition. The song came from Beatles album “Rubber Soul”. And it’s nothing to do with “Woods”.
渡邊第一次送直子聖誕禮物，送的是在自己打工唱片行買的亨利曼希尼唱片《親親甜心》。
The man gave a record “Henry Mancini – Dear Heart” to his girlfriend as Christmas gift.
渡邊跟直子發生親密關係的夜晚，房間裡的唱片從披頭四《寂寞芳心俱樂部》專輯開始播放。
Before the night they made out, the music in his room was the record “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” first.
渡邊跟直子發生親密關係的關鍵時刻，房間裡的唱片是比爾艾文斯的《給黛比的華爾滋》，這張唱片非常精彩，貝斯手史考特拉法洛跟鼓手保羅莫田與鋼琴手比爾艾文斯，三人狀況絕佳，絕非軟調抒情音樂，一曲〈我愚蠢的心〉演奏得有點神經質的敏感，又帶點遺憾，是貼近小說情境的絕佳配樂。
And they decided to make love to each other in the music of “Waltz for Debby” by Bill Evans Trio. That’s a great jazz album by pianist Bill Evans, bassist Scott LaFaro, and drummer Paul Motian.
