After our successful week at IT-TRANS in Karlsruhe, we are excited to be in Chicago this week for the National Shared Mobility Summit.

We are looking forward to meeting with public transport and mobility experts to foster the discussion around the current trends and developments in the mobility sector. We will contribute to that by sharing with you our insights on the mobility market from a European perspective.

Our team, located in the exhibition hall V2 at booth number E3, will showcase our solutions that allow to integrate micro transit services into mass transit infrastructures and our partnerships with cities and mass transit companies worldwide — paving the way for a world beyond cars, congestion and emissions.

The agenda of this year’s National Shared Mobility Summit in Chicago is packed with workshops and 90-minutes breakout sessions offering in-depth explorations of emerging trends in shared mobility, public-private partnerships and collaborations across the public, nonprofit, and private sectors.

Our Head of Business Development, Ana-Maria Tonita, will be part of one of these breakout sessions:

Tuesday, March 13th

3:30–5:00 PM Afternoon Breakout Sessions

Breakout 1: Public Sector Experiments with Microtransit

Adriatic/Aegean

While still in a nascent form of tech-enabled transportation, micro transit (flexible transit service in vehicles smaller than typical transit buses) holds promise for reshaping the delivery of transit service in environments where traditional fixed routes have a hard time being productive. Hear from public and private sector leaders about their experience with mobility partnerships to deliver these new forms of demand-responsive transit.

Moderator: Doran Barnes, Executive Director, Foothill Transit

Panelists:

  • Ana-Maria Tonita, Head of Business Development, door2door
  • Louis Pappas, Business Development Principal, Via
  • Jon Walker, Transportation Policy Manager, Lyft
  • Doug Kaufman, CEO, TransLoc
  • Jeff Holwell, Economic Development Director, City of Lone Tree, CO
