Talking with artist Juan Matthew de la Tour, it is clear that he is passionate about producing work that breaks the stereotypical molds. “Google pot leaf posters and a lot of times it’s all the same,” he remarked in his interview with DOPE Magazine. “Some people hang up posters and never really look at them again.”
Juan Matthew is looking to change that via his very textured approach to cannabis art. Here, he fuses everything from glue guns to spray paint to nail polish to create unique pieces with many hidden details. While these household items may not be everyone’s first choice for art supplies, Juan Matthew puts them to very creative use. “My inspiration comes from the struggle,” he concluded. Indeed, some of the most passionate artistry does.
