Description of a picture in Flotsam

The picture that is being described

Under the deepest, darkest, unexplored oceans there is a mythical world home to giant, graceful turtles as big as towns. On their huge, patterned, strong backs they carried small clusters of houses made of cute, small shells. They are swiftly gliding past a wide, colourful country of shells as spiral as a coiled snake. There are palaces, hotels and houses. The twisted, old, shell places are home to tiny, green people and the patterns on the turtles’ backs act as paths for the mermen. The turtles are the lovely colour of melted gold and bronze. The brown, giant turtles stand out against the turquoise water of the deep sea. They swim swiftly and silently with their soft, scaly, streamlined bodies like an albatross glides. The spiral shells of the city below look as twisty as ice cream. In the background lots more of these village-carrying turtles glide quickly and smoothly past the pretty picture. The serene, swift, silent turtles are slowly swimming away to the deep blue sea.
