How to use Blockchain Technology to achieve Democracy?
Blockchain Technology is about creating, storing and transferring values in a distributed and secure way. It can be used to set up a value database, a voting system or even a global currency. If the creation of new blocks and the transfer of values are organized in a transparent and democratic way, it is no longer a matter of trust in any third party responsible for storing or transferring the values.
For the implementation of DORIUM — a new eco-system governed by a community, using a new currency to reward and finance sustainable social economic impact — Blockchain Technology is without alternative. The distributed network enables everyone to get access. The transparency and security are a pre-condition for the acceptance of stored values and the currency. But, is an eco-system something to be governed by democracy? If so, is our society ready to govern an eco-system and how to implement this for DORIUM?

Best case, democracy so far was the election of our administration every 4–5 years. Building on this decision, countries and unions of countries established rules, cooperation and organizations to govern economics, development and our social life. In between two elections, the democratic part of it was to ask for transparency, reports and to make — best case — some proposals for the administration. So, from today on, we can run everything on our own and rule the most important topic in a pure democratic way? Instead of trusting no one, we should rather not trust our self. Democracy comes with responsibility, experience and knowledge. A child starts with listening and talking before it tries walking. The governance of the DORIUM blockchain must implement a growing kind of democracy based on experience, know-how and trust.
Every blockchain gets developed by individual people. In a transparent and open way, but still there is no democracy at the beginning. The rules and initial decisions for DORIUM are made by a commission of well known experts of social value creation with a perfect reputation. This commission of legends is elected by all DOR-NEX holders (token to pre-finance development and promotion of DORIUM). At least, there will be a vote of 10,000 people behind the commission governing DORIUM. The commission of experts and the DOR-NEX holders will select several trustworthy Master-Nodes with a high social economic rating, creating social economic impact since many years. The score of each Master-Node is transparent for the community. The Master-Nodes will validate transactions and the achievement of social economic impact.
Starting at day one, every node, stakeholder, user and participant can gain credits for his own social economic score. By supporting social startups and the community or for example by doing volunteer work. With a better social economic scoring, the user can start to mine SoBz transactions or social economic impact by validating it with his reputation.
The DORIUM blockchain will use a proof-of-reference mechanism for the validation of any blockchain entry. The required score can be achieved by every registered user. Democracy is growing on DORIUMs way from developers to experts, from experts to Master-Nodes and from Master-Nodes to social economic impact miners, governing the system based on the proven experience they achieved.
