Real talk. A little detour before getting into the article.

I am sitting on my couch wanting to write this article about living with intention — living with purpose. Wanting to accomplish this goal — of writing this piece so I can share my thoughts with all of you. So I can connect. That’s what we’re all trying to do on here, aren’t we? On this platform. On the internet. Connect.

But, to be honest. I feel crap. So this is me, starting this article by telling the truth — which I’m sure you know, and can relate to, which is: sometimes doing what you want to is hard.

Right now I’m feeling blah and gross and nauseous because of my period. I’m 45 — can’t it be over already?!

When I feel crummy like this it can be hard to find the motivation to work through the ugh-ness.

I embraced the period symptom blahs earlier by having a nap when I got home from work, and now I am sitting with my cup of yuzu citrus green tea hoping that it will help me feel a bit better so I can focus on this.

As some of you may know, I have my Run With Intention publication on Medium (and also the Run With Intention Facebook group and now Strava club
