Today’s question is:

What if you could start your own global trend, followed by everyone? What would it be?

I would say: have a daily gratitude practice. If everyone followed a daily gratitude practice — in whatever way works for them — journaling or just noticing or telling others about what they are grateful for — I’m pretty sure the world would be a much better place. Because gratitude is a sure fire way to increase happiness, according to Positive Psychology. It’s a way to increase positive emotions and engagement with that you’re doing, and it can help you find more meaning in life, create better relationships with

others (especially if you tell other people you’re grateful for them!), and also showing gratitude for your achievements. Basically, gratitude can be applied to all aspects of the Positive Psychology framework of PERMA — which stands for: positive emotions, engagement (in your task/present moment), relationships, meaning and achievements. Gratitude can help add an extra layer to all those things, and all together, PERMA helps increase overall wellbeing and human flourishing, which is really the goal of Positive Psychology!
