I’ve been sitting all day trying to be productive writing. I have 2 draft article ideas sitting just waiting to be written — one about the future of the retail industry (thanks to Michael M-C for the suggestion!) and one about the future of pandemics.

But, and picture a little girl throwing a temper tantrum

I don’t wanna and you can’t make me!

For some reason, I just can’t get myself to actually write about it. I have all my sources for both pieces, and for the pandemic one, I’ve written the first sentence, but that’s all. And for some reason my mind or my body — or both — are like NOPE, don’t wanna do this, not feeling it! Even though I want to write about these topics (the pandemic especially because I’m curious about what the future of well, future pandemics, has in store for us).

But my mind is throwing her pen and notebook (or computer) on the ground and storming off. Not gonna play!
