At long last, iOS 10 is here. With it comes features like lasers in text messages, voicemail transcription and (our favorite) an updated set of emoji. Yes, emoji are fun—but they’re also powerful little pictographs, so we were glad to see that this latest update took care of some glaring gender and racial imbalances. For example, there’s now a woman weightlifter and a pride flag. The update also treads some apolitical ground by bringing a little nuance to some much-loved icons, like the bathtub, which now has bubbles. Behold, the 10 best emoji updates for iOS 10.
